Not happy with this. Then again I don't have much experiance with other laser printers so I don't have much to compare it with.
It jams. It uses too much ink. It messes up paper and the tray is stupidly hard to get lined up perfectly. Testing it on a Windows Millenium Edition when the driver only supported Windows 95 and Windows 98 didn't help either. The one we downloaded never really worked properly. Thats most likely a Windows ME problem though.
It does usually get your printing done though. I've used it for a long time and so hate it as I'm sure you hate all the problem you have with your computer. As long as you aren't printing more than 30 sheets at a time it does fairluy well with a fast print raste although the actualy printing cost doubles from the 1.2 pence (about 2 cents) per sheet as Brother claims.
Still laser printers still work out far cheaper that inkets and are fine for letters, articles, etc. The print quality is not too bad either though it will not print shades of lines or text in office.
Overall a good printer - providing that it is working.
